Hey guys! Today I'm gonna tell all of you a little bit about Bruges, a lovely city in Belgium, which I had the opportunity to visit on my last trip to Europe. The first time I was in Belgium I only went to Brussels, it was nice and everything but every time I talked with somebody who had the chance to go to both cities (Bruges and Brussels), everybody always said that Bruges was prettier and more interesting. That was exactly what I thought as soon as I got there! Ok, so, this table below shows how long it takes to go from Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam to Bruges, by car and by train. I didn't add prices or anything cause even though gasoline isn't that expensive in Europe, the price can change and the same goes to the train tickets, which depend on the time of the year and so on. Going by train is much comfortable, since you won't be driving and you can go to the restroom or restaurant anytime without having to stop your journey for that buuuuuut, depending on how many people e specially on the luggage size/number (don't forget you're the one who will have to put it in the train haha), going by car might be cheaper. But it's your choice! The website that I use to check the train ticket's price is RAIL EUROPE, it has all the european train companies in only one website!
O que fazer em Bruges / What to do in Bruges
Bom, eu passei um dia em Bruges. Acordamos bem cedo e fomos de carro de Lille, onde estávamos hospedados, até Bruges, o que demorou 1 hora. A cidade é maravilhosa, super recomendo que conheçam, mas quem não quiser ou não tiver tempo para se hospedar, sem problemas! Existem vários tours saindo e voltando no mesmo dia de Bruxelas e de Amsterdã, ou você podem fazer como eu fiz, ir de carro caso esteja em uma cidade por perto.
1. Passeio de barco pelos canais/Canal boat tours
Bruges looks a lot like Amsterdam because of it's canals. It's the Belgium Venice. By taking a boat tour you can see the city from a different view, which is amazing. The tour usually takes 30 minutes and the one I was in, there was a guid telling some facts about the city. Address: Where Dijver meets Wollenstraat (a bridge).
2. Markt
É o centro de Bruges! Uma praça com vários restaurantes e cafés em volta, com comida típica belga. O lugar perfeito pra experimentar a famosa cerveja belga, batata frita e waffles. O Historium também fica la, que é um museu que mostra como era cidade na Era Medieval.
It's the heart of Bruges! A square with many restaurants and coffee places, with typical Belgium food. The perfect place for you to try the famous Belgium beer, fries and waffles. It's where the Historium is located, a museum that takes you back to how Bruges was in the Middle Ages.

3. Bell tower
Uma torre que fica bem em frente ao Markt que depois de 366 degraus você consegue ver a cidade toda do alto!

4. Culinária belga/Belgium food
WAFFLES: Comida típica e servida em praticamente todos os restaurantes haha o lugar em que eu comi (peguei no TripAdvisor) e ameeeeei chama Lizzie's Wafels, são enormes, então serve de 2 a 3 pessoas e você escolhe o que adicionar no seu... tem de tudo, morango, chocolate, sorvete etc. Endereço: Sint-Amandsstraat 27, 8000 Bruges, Bélgica
It's one of the most famous 'dishes' in Belgium and you can taste them in almost all restaurants haha the place where I ate them (I found it in TripAdvisor) and I loooooved it! It's called Lizzie's Wafles, they are huge, so you can share it between 2 or 3 persons and you can also add whatever you like to the waffles, like strawberries, chocolate, ice cream.

CERVEJA/BEER: Não gosto de cerveja.. então pra indicar uma marca é difícil, mas que a cerveja belga é uma das melhores do mundo, isso todo mundo já sabe. Tive a oportunidade de provar a cerveja ROSÉ, que é uma delicia, feita de fruta (morango, framboesa, depende) e não lembra nenhum pouco o gosto da cerveja tradicional. Fica a dica pra quem for visitar, já que aqui no Brasil é difícil de achar e quando se acha, são super caras.
I don't like beer, so it's hard for me to recommend a brand, but that Belgium has one of the world's best beer, everybody knows. I had the opportunity to try the ROSÉ beer, which is delicious, made of fruits (strawberries, raspberries, depends) e it doesn't taste like the traditional beer at all. So that's my recommendation for the ones visiting Belgium, since here in Brazil they are hard to find and if you find them, they are really expensive.
CHOCOLATE: Tentação!!! O que não faltam são lojinhas de chocolate artesanal, um mais gostoso que o outro. Mas o meu preferido é o estilo feito pela marca GUYLIAN, no formato de conchas ou frutos do mar com um recheio macio e delicioso.
Temptation!!! You can find home made chocolate shops everywhere, of every kind of flavours, all delicious. But my favourite ones are just like the GUYLIAN brand, they are in seashell shape and with a delicious filling.
